I am a freelance writer, and film festival producer/programmer based in Brooklyn, New York. With this site, I aim to make sense of my somewhat long and complicated resume, and to highlight the projects that are closest to me.

As a writer, my work has appeared in a variety of publications, including CITY, Swallow Magazine, Gridskipper, and numerous blogs and websites. Additionally, I work as a copywriter and creative consultant for advertising and branding projects. My services include pitch writing for client presentations, idea generation for tag lines and branding directions, television programming concepts, music supervision, research and more. Recent clients include cable channels AMC and Oxygen. Examples of my work can be seen under the "Writing Samples" section of this site.

My work on film festivals and events began in 2005 when I was hired to direct the CMJ Film Fest in New York. Over the two years I oversaw the event, festival attendance more than doubled. We were able to attract top talent and directors including Sasha Baron Cohen, Noel Gallegher of Oasis, and director David Cronenberg to appear at screenings for Q&A sessions, and featured pre-release screenings of acclaimed films such as Walk the Line and A History of Violence.

Following my time at CMJ, I started my own screening series called Package Deals. Package Deals explores the creative output of selected cities and regions, (so far, Iceland, Sweden and North America) selecting the best short films and music videos from local artists, and exhibiting them at festivals and cinemas around the world. Package Deals has screened in over twenty five international cities so far, from New York to Hong Kong, and continues to tour.
